What is Skyr?

So i promised you guys a post about skyr, so here it is:

What is Skyr?: 

Skyr is an Icelandic cultured dairy product. It very close to strained yogurt. Skyr is high in calcium and vitamins just like any other dairy products, and a plus side is that it is  very low on fat. Even though it is very low on fat and high on protein it contains 3.5% dairy-sugar. It is still healthy, but there is a big risk that you can gain weight with a large intake

Different types of Skyr – it is all measured pr. 100 g.:

The grams after the name is the size you can buy them in.

  • Naturel 1000 g. –  Energy 275 kJ, Fat 0,2 g, Carbs 4,0 g, Lactose 4,0 g, Protein 11 g, Salt 0,14 g
